Crossfire Premier '91 Drops Quarterfinal Shoot-out to NWN '91 1-2

Lynnwood, WA - Crossfire Premier '91's quest for a fifth state championship was stopped by an outstanding NWN '91 squad today, 1-2 in a shoot-out. NWN got on the board in the opening half off a set play. Crossfire answered in the second half. Both teams battled hard in the two 15 minute overtime periods but neither scored. NWN '91 won it in the ensuing shoot-out. Congratulations, Nationals, on the win and the hard-fought battle.

Crossfire Advances to Quarterfinals, Winning 2-0

Redmond, WA - Crossfire Premier '91 scored twice in the opening half and continued to play well down the stretch to beat a solid 3-Rivers '91 squad and advance to the Washington State Championship Quarterfinals tomorrow.

Crossfire '91 Advances With 7-0 Win over Snohomish

Redmond, WA - Crossfire Premier '91 beat Snohomish United '91 7-0 to win their bracket in the 2008 GU16 Washington State Championship Cup today and advance to next week's elimination round game. Crossfire got on the board midway through the opening period from the top of the box, then added one more to take a 2-0 lead into the half break. In the second period, Crossfire kept up the offensive attack and found the back of the net 5 more times to earn the milestone victory. Today's win was their 200th team victory since their opening game in May, 2002 at the Snohomish Cup. They also passed the century mark this season for goals scored with a current tally of 105. In another milestone, their defense collected their 20th shut-out of the season.

Federal Way, WA - Crossfire Premier '91 won their second qualifying round game today in as many tries, beating an excellent FWU Reign '91 squad 4-1. Crossfire scored twice in the opening period, and finished with two more down the stretch in the second half. FWU Reign battled hard the entire way and scored in the second half to make it 2-1, before Crossfire answered. Crossfire advanced their season goals tally to 98 and next hosts Snohomish United '91.

Bremerton, WA - Crossfire Premier '91 began its 2008 Washington State GU16 Championship Cup run with a 1-0 victory over Westsound '91. Crossfire connected in the second half of the contest to earn the win and tally their 19th shut-out of the 2007-2008 season.

Crossfire Successful at 2008 Las Vegas Showcase

Las Vegas, NV - Crossfire Premier '91 wrapped up a successful weekend of intense competition in the Red Bull Division of the 2008 Las Vegas College Showcase with a 1-1 tie against the Stars of MA. In their opening match-up on Friday, March 14, Crossfire beat an outstanding FC Delco of Pennsylvania by a score of 2-1 after scoring early. On Friday evening Crossfire came back and battled St. Louis to a 0-0 tie. In Saturday's lone matchup Crossfire lost a nail-biter to last year's National Championship Finalist PDA, 0-1 off their second half goal. A great weekend of great competition, in the toughest league in the nation - Red Bull.

Redmond, WA - Both Crossfire squads battled hard the entire way. With a 0-0 tie through the early part of the second period, the '90 Thomas squad scored down the middle, then held on down the stretch to hand the '91's their first league loss of the season.

Crossfire Finalist at 2007 GU15 Far West Regionals

Las Vegas, NV - Crossfire Premier '91 lost in the championship game to So. Cal Blues 0-1, in a rematch from their GU12 championship game. Crossfire advanced to the championship game with a 1-0 semi-final victory over N. Mexico en Fuego. In the quarterfinal match-up, Crossfire rallied from an 0-2 deficit, scoring three goals in the final 15 minutes to beat Hawaii state champs 3-2. In the qualifying round Crossfire went 2-1, losing the opening contest to So. Cal Blues 1-3, and winning their next two against Nevada and New Mexico by a 3-0 and 4-0 margin.

Crossfire Goes 4-0 at Showcase of Champions

Puyallup, WA - Crossfire Premier '91 launched their 2007 season this weekend with a very strong performance at the Showcase of Champions. They won all four of their games, beating some of the top GU16 teams in the Northwest by a combined 20-1 goals margin. Crossfire wasted no time scoring in their opening contest against a fine FC Portland '91 squad, winning it by a final tally of 9-0. On Saturday, Crossfire won their double-header, beating the Boise Capitals 4-1 early and finishing the day with a great performance against an outstanding Les Bois United team, winning it 5-0. In their final match-up on Sunday, Crossfire beat current Oregon state champ THUSC Neon '91 2-0, scoring one in each half to earn the victory and secure their undefeated first weekend of soccer play.
