Crossfire Premier '91 Wins Fourth State Title

Lakewood, WA - Crossfire Premier '91 earned their fourth state title since 2003 today with a 1-0 win over an excellent NWN '91 Nemesis squad. Both teams battled hard the entire contest. Crossfire connected off a throw-in down the stretch in the second half to seal the win, after repeated attempts. Congratulations, Nemesis for an outstanding season and the well played game.

This win was a milestone victory for Crossfire, their 75th in 5 years against teams their age in Washington State. During this time Crossfire has scored 364 goals and allowed 20, earning an overall in-state and on-age record of 75-1-2 with 61 shut-outs, a shut-out efficiency of 78%. For the season Crossfire had a 17-0-2 record in-state and on-age, with a 69-3 goals advantage and 16 shut-outs (84%). Against all Region IV '91 teams, Crossfire's 5 year record stands at 97-8-11, with 79 shut-outs and a 451-49 goals margin.

Tukwila, WA - Crossfire Premier '91 beat an outstanding WPFC '91 team 2-0 today to advance to the 2007 Washington State Cup Championship Final. Both teams battled to a 0-0 tie in the first half before Crossfire scored early in the second half. Crossfire followed up with a second goal later in the half to earn the victory. Congratulations, WPFC for the well played game, and for your successful season. Crossfire's two goals advanced their season tally to 148 while the defense notched their 36th shut-out.

Bellevue, WA - Crossfire Premier '91 beat an outstanding Eastside '91 squad in the third and final qualifying round game of the 2007 Washington State Championship Cup this morning, 1-0. Needing a win or tie to advance directly to the quarterfinals, Crossfire scored the winning goal midway in the second period. Congratulations, Eastside, for the well played game.

With the win Crossfire's defense notched its 34th shut-out for the season and is on a pace to achieve its best shut-out efficiency and least goals allowed per game of any season.




Crossfire Wins Second Qualifying Round Game

Redmond, WA - Crossfire Premier '91 won their second Washington State Championship Cup qualifying round game today with a solid win over a good Snohomish United squad. Crossfire scored twice in the opening third of the first half and added more down the stretch to take a comfortable lead into the half. They added a pair more in the second half to win it. With the victory Crossfire's season record improves to 35-9-8, their goals margin advances to 142-27, and their defense collects its 33rd shut-out.

Crossfire Opens State Cup With 4-0 Win

Redmond, WA - Crossfire Premier '91 started their 2007 Washington State Championship Cup run with a solid 4-0 win over a good HSA Eagles '91 squad. Crossfire found the back of the net two times each half to earn the victory. Along with their 34th win of the season, Crossfire notched their 32nd shut-out. Next week they host Snohomish United '91 Elite.

Crossfire Wins Big in Doubleheader Weekend

Everett and Camas, WA - GU15 Crossfire Premier '91 played a doubleheader in the Washington State GU16 Division 1 League this weekend, winning both games by a combined goals margin of 9-1. On Saturday, Crossfire travelled to Everett to take on ESA Stars '90. After parents from both sides spent time clearing the field of snow, using hurdles for brooms, Crossfire and ESA battled to a 0-0 tie at half. Crossfire got the offense rolling in the second half, scoring twice to earn a 2-0 victory.

Early Sunday morning, Crossfire took to the road and travelled to Camas where they played FC Vancouver '90 Liberty in their second match of the season. This time it was all Crossfire, as the young squad scored twice in the first three minutes, added a third in the ninth minute, and earned two more down the stretch of the opening period to take a solid 5-0 lead into the half. Crossfire scored two more times in the second, and allowed a goal to take the victory, 7-1.

Crossfire Wins Super Y National Championship

Tampa, FL - Crossfire Premier '91 defeated an outstanding CASL Elite team (North Carolina) in the championship game by a score of 1-0 in overtime to take the crown. For the tournament Crossfire Premier '91 earned a 4-1 record, collected three shut-outs, and achieved an impressive goals margin of 13-3.

Crossfire Premier '91 Beats NWN '90 Allegra 5-0

Redmond, WA - GU15 Crossfire Premier '91, coached by Peter Hattrup, advanced their record to 3-1 early in the 2006 Washington State League GU16 Division 1 season with a strong showing today against an outstanding NWN '90 Allegra squad. Crossfire pressured early with a shot off the top of the post in the first few minutes and followed with their first goal in the 12th minute. NWN responded by pressuring with a couple of hard shots. Crossfire's defense held, and late in the half Crossfire found the back of the net again to go up 2-0 at the break. In the second half, Crossfire continued to apply pressure with great team ball, putting three more in the net to earn the victory.

Crossfire Premier Is Finalist at 2006 Surf Cup

San Diego, CA - Crossfire Premier '91 finished the 2006 San Diego Surf Cup near the top - earning the finalist spot of the GU15 Division. "Where the best of the best meet," Crossfire battled San Ramon Shock to a 0-0 tie to start things off in their first A Bracket game on Saturday morning. Later that day Crossfire played World Champs Real So Cal to a 1-1 tie in an exciting finish. On Sunday morning, Crossfire got their offense rolling in a solid 5-0 win over a very good Yankee United Glory team from the east coast. That win earned Crossfire a 2nd place finish in A Bracket and an opportunity to advance into the elimination quarter-final round.

In their QF matchup Crossfire played the 2005 Surf Cup champs Slammers FC. Crossfire got on the board first, scoring from the left in the middle of the opening period, and held that lead until midway in the second, where Slammers connected on a combination play. The game ended in a tie and proceeded immediately to KFMs. Crossfire kicked first, and proceeded to bury all five of their shots into the back corners of the net, while holding Slammers to three - and took the game with a 2-1 win.

On Monday morning, Crossfire played the host team San Diego Surf White and came out strong, scoring early from the left, to take a 1-0 lead into half. Crossfire continued to put offensive pressure on and connected again in the second half to go up 2-0. Surf finished with a PK off a hand ball in the box in the last two minutes of the contest but Crossfire held on to earn their first trip to the renowned Surf Cup finals.

In a rematch of the two teams from the A Bracket, Crossfire met World Champs Real So Cal. Real So Cal earned their finals appearance by soundly beating ELA Elite 4-1 in the QF and CASA BOCA 2-1 in the SF. In the championship game, Real So Cal showed why they are the World's top GU15 team, scoring once in each half - each time off a corner kick - to earn their championship trophy. Congratulations, Real So Cal - for winning the Surf Cup, and for winning the Gothia Cup in Sweden earlier this summer! Thank you San Diego Surf for hosting such a wonderful and challenging tournament.

Crossfire connected on four in the opening half, adding two more in the second to earn their fifth win of the Super Y-League season. Thanks, Victoria, for the hard-fought game.

Crossfire Moves Into 1st Place in Super Y

Mountlake Terrace, WA - Crossfire Premier '91 moved into first place in the Super Y-League GU14 division with a solid win over NWN Nemesis '91. Crossfire got on the board early with a goal to far post from outside the box and followed up with another scoring strike down the middle to take a 2-0 lead into the half. Both teams continued to battle hard in the second period and the score ended 2-0 Crossfire.

Crossfire Premier '91 hosts two Super Y-League games this weekend, with the first on Saturday afternoon at Perrigo Park, against Victoria, followed by a Sunday morning game at Sixty Acres against Vancouver.





Crossfire Gets Offense Rolling

Yakima, WA - Crossfire Premier '91 wasted little time getting the ball in the back of the net against Yakima Reds in an early season Super Y-League game today. Great team passing and solid team defense were evidenced today as Crossfire scored three early to take a 3-0 lead into the half, then kept up the attack in getting four more in the second to come away with a 7-0 win. After the game, many of the players and families gathered at the Miners drive-in for some famous burgers and shakes.

Crossfire Premier Does Well at ManU

Beaverton, OR - Crossfire Premier '91 finished in 11th place in the U.S. Finals of the 2006 Manchester United Cup over Memorial Day weekend. They started strong on Friday by dominating but tieing Slammers FC 0-0. In their afternoon contest Crossfire was upended by Real Colorado 0-1.

On day two (Saturday) Crossfire started with a win over Tabagators 1-0 then played Southern Cal Strikers for a chance to move to the quarter-finals. Similar to game 1, Crossfire Premier '91 had more opportunities to score than their opponent, but failed to connect and the game ended 0-0.

For the qualifying round, Crossfire finished in third place behind Slammers and Strikers.

In the consolation rounds starting Sunday, Crossfire lost to Lonestars 0-1 on Sunday but came back to win on Monday, 1-0 over Bethesda in PKs.

It was a great weekend of high quality and evenly matched soccer where the top 20 teams in the US battled for the opportunity to move on to the world championships in Sweden.

Crossfire Wins 2006 Starfire Spring Classic

Tukwila, WA - Crossfire Premier '91 won their opening tournament of this early 2006 season, taking the GU15 division of the Starfire Spring Classic. Crossfire defeated Marauders '91 Blue in the championship game to earn the trophy after winning their bracket and defeating Westsound FC '91 in the semi-final match-up.
