Crossfire's Bid For Four Straight Falls Short

Seattle, WA - Crossfire Premier '91 lost to Eastside FC '91 today 0-1 in overtime to end their bid for a fourth straight state cup championship. Both teams battled hard the entire way. Congratulations, Eastside, on the win and championship!

Crossfire now turns its full attention to preparing for the Manchester United Premier Cup in May.

Crossfire Returns to State Cup Final

Bellevue, WA - Crossfire Premier '91 beat a very good Silverlake Spirit '91 team today 1-0 to win their Washington State Cup Semi-Final game. Crossfire scored early in the second half on a PK and kept pressure on down the stretch to secure the win. Congratulations, Silverlake Spirit '91, on the spirited and well played game - you had a tremendous state cup run.

Crossfire Premier '91 now sets its sights on the State Cup Championship where they will be defending their title.

Crossfire Advances to Semi-Finals

Redmond, WA - Crossfire Premier '91 advanced to the 2006 State Cup Championship Semi-Finals today by beating a great ECFC '91 Green team 1-0 in 40+mph winds, a driving rain and 40- degree weather. Crossfire scored in the first minute of play and both teams played hard the entire way in what was arguably the worst playing conditions ever experienced by these girls. Congratulations, ECFC '91 for your great tournament run. With the win, Crossfire Premier '91 moves one step closer in their quest to successfully defend their state cup crown.

Redmond, WA - In their first meeting in over a year, Crossfire beat an outstanding FC Vancouver Liberty '91 squad today by a final tally of 5-1. Crossfire got on the board early in the opening period, scoring twice to take a comfortable 2-0 lead into the half. They quickly added a third early in the second half. After allowing a goal in the bottom half of the second half, Crossfire quickly answered with two more to earn the victory. Crossfire demonstrated a strong and balanced scoring attack today, with four different girls connecting.

Crossfire Premier '91 Finishes 3rd in GU15 D1 League

GU14 Crossfire Premier '91 recently completed a very successful 2005 fall league season, taking third in the Washington State GU15 Division 1 league with a 6-4-4 record. It was a marked improvement over their 2004 GU14 Division 1 sixth place finish and 5-8-1 record. Crossfire Premier '91 salutes League Champion Crossfire Premier '90 P. Lombard and also congratulates Crossfire Premier '90 A. Lombard on their great finish. These Crossfire squads took three of the top four places in GU15 Division 1 league play. We wish both Lombard teams every success in their upcoming state cup runs.

Kirkland, WA - Crossfire Premier '91 dropped a close one to FC Royals '90 1-2. In a repeat of their early league season contest, Crossfire got on the board early to take a 1-0 lead into the half. Sammamish, WA - Crossfire Premier '91 earned their fifth win of the fall league season today in dramatic fashion, scoring the winning goal in the last ten minutes of the contest to beat the HSA Eagles '90 2-1. Crossfire scored first in the early part of the opening half and held the 1-0 lead until midway through the second period, when the Eagles answered with a PK off a foul in the box. The '91s scored in the latter part of the first half on a free kick from 40 yards out, and held on with great defense to earn the victory. The awesome '90s pressured many times, but the '91s did a good job of plugging the gaps. It was truly a defensive battle for much of the contest, with neither team getting many shots on goal. Crossfire Splits Double-header Weekend

Redmond and Tukwila, WA - GU14 Crossfire Premier '91 split their double-header weekend of GU15 Division 1 league play, dropping their first game against Crossfire Premier '90 A. Lombard on Saturday, then bouncing back to win against HSA Eagles '90 on Sunday. In the Saturday game, it was all Crossfire - 90's, as they scored two early on the 91's, then coasted with a third in second half to win it 3-0. Congrats, 90's on the great win.

The Crossfire '91 girls bounced back on Sunday, playing a tough HSA Eagles '90 team at the beautiful Starfire Sports Complex. It was a battle the full 80 minutes, with a lot of connecting passes both ways, but few shots on goal.

Sammamish, WA - NWN Allegra '90 battled Crossfire Premier '91 to a 1-1 tie on the turf today. Each team scored very early in their respective half, with Allegra connecting within the first two minutes in the opening period and holding a 1-0 lead into the half break. Crossfire came out strong early in the second half, answering within the first two minutes with a crossing pass and finishing shot to tie it at 1's. Both teams played hard down the stretch but neither could secure a go-ahead goal. Thanks, Allegra, for the hard-fought game.

Puyallup, WA - FC Royals '90 spoiled Crossfire Premier '91's attempt to win their second game in a row in this young 2005 season by defeating the '91's 2-1. Crossfire got on the board first with a goal to near post in the first period after numerous attempts. The Royals came out strong in the second half and scored their first goal off a set play then added to it late in the game to come away with the win.

Crossfire got on the board early in the first half and secured a second goal before the half-time break. Spokane never gave up and countered down the stretch in the second half to keep the game within a goal.

Bellingham, WA - Crossfire Premier '91 wrapped up their final 2005 summer tournament by finishing as a semi-finalist in the GU15 division, losing to Crossfire Premier '90 A. Lombard in KFM's. Both teams battled hard the entire way and through two overtimes, ending in a 0-0 tie before the game was decided on PK's. Congrats Crossfire Premier '90 A. Lombard for the excellent game! Crossfire advanced to the semi's by defeating Norpoint FC '90, WFC Rangers '90 and ECFC '90 Green.

Crossfire Quarter-Finalist at 2005 Surf Cup

San Diego, CA - Crossfire Premier '91 advanced to the quarterfinals in their first appearance at the renowned Surf Cup, losing to eventual Surf Cup Champion Slammers FC '91 0-1. Crossfire advanced to the quarters by tieing So Cal United '91 0-0, beating ISC Strikers '91 1-0 and beating Nevada Rebels Select Red '91 1-0. It was a fantastic tournament experience.

2005 Region IV Championships

Aurora, CO - Crossfire Premier '91 lost a hard-fought battle against Arizona Sereno Golden Eagles White 1-2 in the final qualifying game in their bracket at the 2005 Region IV Championships. Crossfire ended in a tie for second place with Cal North Mustang Spirit but failed to advance to the quarter-finals on the third tie breaker for points. In their first two match-ups, Crossfire and Mustang Spirit tied 2-2, and Crossfire beat So Cal Blues 2-1 in a rematch of the 2004 Region IV Championship final. Congrats to Sereno and Mustang Spirit for advancing. Congrats to the So Cal ISC Strikers for winning the 2005 championship.

Seattle, WA - Crossfire Premier '91 played the Vancouver Whitecaps in an exhibition soccer game at Qwest Field prior to the Seattle Sounders matchup. It was a great day for soccer and the Crossfire girls prevailed 4-0 in this fun contest. Thanks, Vancouver, for making the trip and for the great game!
